A Soap Opera Actor’s Teeth Seen Up Close

Once again our work for Michael Maltzan’s wonderful Inner City Arts school gets due recognition. This time thanks to architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne in today’s Los Angeles Times, who is enamored with the bright white exterior, calling it akin to the “surprising brightness of a soap-opera actor’s teeth seen up close, or the pages deep inside a newspaper that has yellowed on top.”

Panettone not Pantone

It’s brilliant with our afternoon tea, and brilliant with a glass of Prosecco after work, and if we’re busy well, we may even have some in lieu of a proper lunch. Panettone Milanese is its full and proper name, and it’s an Italian fruitcake that just melts in your mouth.

Back to School

Our ongoing collaboration with architect Michael Maltzan, Inner-City Arts, is featured in a roundup of schools in this month’s issue of the California Architect’s Newspaper.

Vote Early, Vote Often

Michael’s now-famous American Idol-inspired Get Out the Vote poster was featured in Fast Company this month.

The OC

Michael ventured behind the Orange Curtain for the HOW Expo, where we love seeing our old friends from the AIGA OC chapter.
