Spacemats Flashback!

Last Saturday night, on his way home from two great days in San Francisco—worth it just to see the new Avedon retrospective at SFMOMA—Mick stopped by Billy Shire Fine Arts in Culver City to look at some wonderful new “proto-types” by his good friend Jayme Odgers, LA’s very own Silver Surfer. As Jayme was debuting some of his incredible type-centric work, Mick couldn’t help but reminisce about Jayme’s laminated “Spacemats” placemats he created with April Greiman back in the day. Mick’s visit—and all its 80’s nostalgia—is all captured as a guest feature post on Mohawk Paper’s fabulous new blog Felt & Wire.
