Delicious Design

We spend so much time designing restaurants ourselves, it was nice for once to sit back and admire the work of others. Michael spent a delightful morning with Margot Dougherty from Los Angeles Magazine, architect David Montalba, and chef extraordinaire Joachim Splichal judging restaurant design for the AIA’s annual awards. What a fantastic group of people, including Carlo Caccavale, from the AIA. Michael’s favorite pick was the wonderfully simple West LA market/cafe FOOD, designed by Fred Fisher alumnus Fleetwood Fernandez Architecture. You can see all the finalists online.
