Favourite Shirts
June 23rd, 2009
It was like two of our favorite things—Paul Smith and cycling—riding in on a bicycle built for two. Last night the Paul Smith shop on Melrose opened an exhibition of favourite cycling jerseys from the collections of Sir Smith and Guy Andrews, editor of Rouleur magazine. And very nice threads they were, too (don’t worry, we snapped plenty of shots). Also there for the night was a private viewing of Man/Machine, a book of hauntingly beautiful pinhole photographs by Nick Livesey documenting the annual Ride of The Fireflies to raise money for Leuka. The nine day ride covers 1,000 kilometers from Geneva to Cannes, and is far from flat! We were lucky enough to walk away not only with a signed copy of the book but a beautiful large bromide print from the silent auction, now hanging in our office. Visitors, as always, are welcome.
