Newport Beach’s new Civic Center includes the city hall, council chambers, library, parking lot and much more besides arranged around 20 acres of cactus gardens, under undulating roofing that resembles breaking waves. Coming up with all the signage was a whale of a task. But from the thickset steel names of the buildings to the differently colored letters and numbers designating different areas, right down to the sailor-themed restroom signs, we’ve made sure everything is a breeze to navigate.
